here I'm posing with members of the Iraq Army, and one US Soldier on a transition team. These are Kurdish Soldiers, all in the same unit, but as you can see they don't all have a standard uniform.

the backgrounds there made for cool pictures, but crappy places to live

this was my "photo crush" (someone I realize I took lots of pictures of without trying). It broke my heart to see how young he looked, how intent he was, and what a dangerous job he had as an Iraqi Police.
