It's been between 110 and 120 degrees here every day now, and it's only the beginning of May.
Although I missed the worst months of July and August, when I arrived to Qatar in September it was still hot enough that when you sat on a toilet you could feel the heat rising from the toilet water to your bare butt. That was a weird surprise!
Now, you can break a sweat walking to breakfast at six in the morning.
I used to wish I was going to be in the Middle East over the worst summer months to really experience the heat, but I've changed my mind. I think my imagination is good enough to not need to experience what's coming. I'll happily head back to Tampa, what I used to think was miserably hot, but now I won't complain about it.
